Tours at the Lodge

In person tour of our Lodge Term Care Facility will restart on Wednesday, May 31st, 2023 at 2:00 PM.  The main entrance is 3760 Sheppard Ave E. Please pre-purchase your parking passes online by clicking here: Day Parking

The waiting area for this tour is in the main lobby. You will be escorted by a tour guide.

A person holding a cane and holding a person's handThe Lodge is a modern and attractive licensed long term care home for seniors who are in need of greater care than can be provided at home, but are not in need of hospitalization.

Dedicated and professional staff work with each resident, and their family, to develop a detailed plan of care and ensure each resident feels valued, safe and respected.

All residents enjoy three delicious and nutritious meals a day, help with daily living activities as needed, daily housekeeping and a busy recreation calendar that includes activities, day-trips and spiritual services.

Located at 3760 Sheppard Avenue East in Toronto, the Lodge offers 252 attractive and modern private or semi-private rooms, each comfortably furnished to feel like home and decorated with residents’ personal touches and keepsakes.

Family Council

A Family Council consists of family members, persons of importance and friends of residents of Shepherd Lodge who regularly gather together for peer support, education, and to improve the experiences of their loved ones.

The Family Council:

  • Provides information and advice
  • Listens to your concerns
  • Informs you of your rights and obligations
  • Advocates for changes and enhancements
  • Supports you through new and difficult times

 

 

Meetings

Meetings are usually held the second Thursday of each month except July and August using the Zoom platform. The  Zoom invite and agenda are emailed to SLFC members 2-3 days before the meeting. At the time, in person meetings will resume when appropriate.

The Lodge is funded by the Central East Local Health Integration Network, Home and Community Care (LHIN) and the application process is coordinated by them. Visit the LHIN Home and Community Care website to learn more and apply for long term care.
